Religious Sisters' Appreciation Day 2025

Sunday Aug. 10, 2025, 3-6 p.m.
We had 146 sisters attend - each received a $100-bill.
There were 77 Serrans and Guest serving the sisters.
Five Students from Sacred Heart volunteered to serve popcorn, desserts, and help with setup and cleanup.
In addition to Archbishop McKnight and Bishop Johnston; 5 priest attended -- for a total of 235!

History of Religious Sisters' Appreciation Day

We have gathered some history of the Religious Sisters' Appreciation Day from 2010 to 2025.  The numbers for 2025 are preliminary and will be updated after this year's event on Aug. 10th.   

Here is the Attendance Chart

Here is a Finances Chart. with some explanation about the Finances. 
*  The Blue Bar represents the income received from Serran's donations and a fee to attend.  Also, a number of Individuals, Churches, Catholic Organizations, Knights of Columbus, and businesses donate each year. 
*  The Red Bar represents the expenses. 
The biggest expense is the gift we give to each sister when they arrive.  Other expenses are BBQ Dinner, drinks, and BINGO prizes. 
*  Finely, the Green Bar represents the Formation Grants we Awarded for the cost of preparing a woman to the religious ministry- such as, education, travel, and cost of entering the USA.
