Fr. Skoch shared with the Serrans some of the history of his great great grandfather immigrating to the US and how his family passed on the Catholic faith.
Fr. Skoch said two things help him decern his vocation to the priesthood.  Time to step out of today’s world and invest in God’s work.  Pray changed me not God.  Fr. Skoch is now invested in Glory to God.
As the new Director of Vocations Fr. Skoch asked for our prayers.  He also asked us Serrans to be bold and talk about God, the gifts of celibacy and invite men to consider the priesthood and woman religious life.
He will also be part-time sacramental assistance at the St. Lawrence Center at the University of Kansas, while continuing as Chaplain of Bishop Ward High School.
When asked why there were so many KU and K-State students that came into the Catholic Church this Easter; he said even the bishops were not able to answer this question.  Maybe these students are looking for the objective truth and want to be part of something good.

At the May 13th Luncheon Meeting the new Club Board for 2026-2027 was Inducted.
